Friendly family seeking francophone live in au pair!

Dear Au Pair, We have a full-time nanny but are seeking a live-in au pair who can (1) look after our two girls during the week after the nanny goes home (just a few hours in the evenings), (2) provide babysitting during the day on Saturdays, and (3) possible babysitting in the evenings only from time to time. We are offering GBP 75 p/w. We currently have a live-in au pair who will be returning to France in December. You would be welcome to speak with her for confirmation that we are a kind, friendly family! We are seeking someone who has French as a first language and who could assist us up to 25 hours per week, plus possibly one or maybe two nights of babysitting per week. These 25 hours would include (potentially) up to 10 hours on Saturdays. You would never work on Sundays. The rest of your hours would be during weekdays; you would look after the children from 5.00 pm - 7.30 pm every weeknight, looking after the bath and dinner and also tidying their room at the end of the day. If you are not a cook, we can provide you with simple recipes for dinners and will tell you what to prepare each evening (typically a steamed fish or simply cooked meat with 2 vegetables).

To apply, you must (1) have a current first aid/CPR (PSC1) qualification, and (2) have strong verbal English. Also, it is very important to us that you have significant experience/childcare training with children under the age of 2.

We are seeking an au pair who is 'kind but firm'; someone who does not let our 4-year old get away with too much but is always there for hugs and kind words. We look forward to hearing from you if you meet all of the criteria above!

You would have your own bedroom and ensuite bathroom on your own floor on the house (2nd floor). You would also have your own fridge and freezer in our kitchen, but can of course enjoy the food that we buy too if you would like. We can also provide you with wireless internet and TV in your room.

We live in Clapham and are only a short walk to the Clapham tube station.
