Letter to au pair - au pair position in london

Our names are Neil and Catherine, we have two daughters, Layla aged 2 1/2 and Amelie aged 9 months. Layla is very active and loves being outdoors playing, playing with her friends, going out on day trips to local museums or running around at softplay. Amelie is also very active, she has been crawling since 6 months old and can walk using a walker.

Neil works for HSBC private bank and works long hours. In his free time he loves playing with the girls, going swimming or day trips and is currently training for the london marathon. I, Catherine, are responsible for the girls and I have a very close bond with both of them. I set up a new business last month in events and would like to focus some more time to getting this up and running. I am also very active and like to go to boot camp twice a week, which requires someone looking after our children. We both like going out with our friends and socialising and may often require a babysitter.

We live in a very nice area of London with great transport links into the city. There is a bus from the end of our road which takes you directly to Victoria or Oxford Circus. We also have numerous overline train stations nearby, including East Dulwich, West Dulwich, North Dulwich and Peckham. There is a nice lady advertising for local language tuition for Au Pairs and Nannies, in which she brings together Au Pairs that are new to the area. I am just getting my company off the ground and I am yet unsure of what hours I will need. The Au Pair needs to be flexible within reason to this.

Duties: Looking after children, day trips, tidying up after children, doing the childrens washing and ironing, taking children to and from activites. Cooking for children - we do not use package meals, all must be cooked fresh.

We really want our Au pair to be energetic and fun loving with a strong sense of responsibility. First aid course training is a plus although we will register them on one should it be needed.

Must be tidy around the house and do light housework if they have spare time. Baby sitting will be on an adhoc basis. Au pair will be provided with own bedroom that has unlimited internet access plus use of family bathroom. There is another bathroom in which Neil and I use.

We will provide one flight home a year for the Au Pair if we take on a 12 month contract.
